Torgau
Give Torgau one full day from Leipzig (50 min by train) or one night if you want the castle at opening; two nights is enough for the Elbe and Graditz.
Torgau is a small Saxon Elbe town of about 20,000 people with an outsized Reformation story: Schloss Hartenfels, the first purpose-built Lutheran church, and the grave of Luther's wife Katharina von Bora. It is a half-day of sights done well, plus river cycling and a baroque stud farm east of the Elbe. Most travellers see it as a day trip from Leipzig; one night buys you the castle without a train clock.
