Torfhaus
Spend a half‑day to a full day for hiking or winter sports; stay overnight if you want ski lift access.
Torfhaus is a high‑altitude village (≈800 m) in the Harz, serving as a gateway to the Brocken, ski lifts and the Nationalpark visitor centre. Most visitors do a day trip for hiking or a few hours of tobogganing; a night adds lift access in winter.
