Getting across
- Causeway Link and SBS buses from Kranji MRT, Queen Street and other stops to JB Sentral, including the border stops.
- Shuttle Tebrau train Woodlands ↔ JB Sentral, 5 minutes; tickets sell out at peaks (check). The RTS Link metro is due to replace it (check opening).
- Taxis with a cross-border licence only; ride-hail cars cannot cross.
Scams and traps
- Unlicensed drivers offering 'no-queue' cross-border rides.
- Short-changing at money stalls near JB CIQ.
Tips
- Avoid Friday evening into Malaysia and Sunday evening into Singapore: queues run for hours.
- Keep your bus ticket: you rejoin any bus of the same company after immigration.
