Tocumwal sits on the Murray River in the NSW Riverina, on the Newell Highway between Melbourne and Brisbane and about 3 h from Melbourne. Get around
Tocumwal is small and flat: the main street, foreshore and most motels are within a 15-min walk. A car is needed for the aerodrome, the Blowhole and the golf club. There is no passenger train service; the railway station is freight only. Regional coaches on the Newell Highway stop in town — check timetables before relying on them.
