Tindi
Tindi is a remote mountain village for climbers and hikers, not a casual stop. Plan at least one full day to reach it and one day to explore; two nights minimum.
Tindi is one of Dagestan's highest settlements, at the foot of the Adallo-Shukhgel-meer mountain and the Bogossa range. It offers access to glaciers, rare wildlife and traditional mountain life. The journey from Makhachkala takes several hours on winding roads, so this is a destination for trekkers, not a day trip.
