Tibau
Half a day to one night: a quiet beach stop on the Rio Grande do Norte–Ceará border, best as a side trip from Mossoró or a break on the Fortaleza–Natal drive.
Tibau is a low-key beach town that serves as the weekend escape for Mossoró residents. It has a long, uncrowded beach, a handful of pousadas and bars, and little else. Most travellers use it as a short stop between Fortaleza and Natal, or a day trip from Mossoró (30 min).
