Thoubal
Half a day is enough for Thoubal: see the Khongjom War Memorial and the market, then move on to Imphal or Kakching.
Thoubal is a small market town in the Imphal Valley, 25 km southeast of Imphal. Its main draw is the Khongjom War Memorial, a large complex with the world's tallest sword statue, commemorating the Anglo-Manipuri War. The town itself has a busy market (Thoubal Keithel) for local handloom and produce. Most travellers use it as a short stop between Imphal and Kakching or Moreh.
