Theodore is a small irrigation town of about 450 people on the Leichhardt Highway in Central Queensland, roughly 2.5 hours south of Rockhampton and 1 hour north of Taroom. It was laid out as a model garden town, so the wide boulevards are the main sight. There is one pub with rooms, one café and a local museum — enough for a leg-stretch, not a base.
