Tanjung Uban
Skip as a destination; use only as a 15-minute ferry crossing point between Batam and Bintan. No reason to stop longer than the boat wait.
Tanjung Uban is a small port town on western Bintan, 7 km from the Lobam industrial estate. It has a handful of seafood restaurants and basic accommodation, but no sights worth a detour. Most travellers pass through on the Batam–Bintan ferry route or use it as a cheap base to reach Bintan Resorts or Trikora beaches by rented car.
