Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) is a culture-and-recreation park in East Jakarta built to show Indonesia's provinces in one place: pavilions, museums, religious buildings, gardens and a lake with a miniature archipelago. It is a single-day sight, best in the dry months, and you base yourself in Jakarta and travel out. Plan one full day; two only if you want the museums slowly and the evening fountain show.
