Talysarn
Tal-y-sarn
Skip Talysarn as a destination: it is a small slate-quarrying village with no visitor infrastructure. Pass through on the way to Snowdonia or the Lleyn Peninsula.
Talysarn is a quiet village in the Nantlle Valley, historically a centre of the Welsh slate industry. It has no sights, accommodation or eateries aimed at tourists. Most travellers will only pass through on the A487 between Caernarfon and Porthmadog. The village is best known for the poet Robert Williams Parry and the 1982 'Ciosg Talysarn' bugging incident.
