Tacámbaro is a small Michoacán town on the road between Morelia and Uruapan, named a Pueblo Mágico for its colonial centre and the crater lake at La Alberca. The sights are close together and the food is the reason locals come. One night covers it; a day trip from Morelia works if you have a car, because buses from Pátzcuaro run only about twice a day.
