Swift Current
One night is enough for Swift Current itself: use it as a Trans-Canada Highway stop, then push on to Cypress Hills or Grasslands.
Swift Current is a regional city of about 16,600 people on the Trans-Canada Highway in southwestern Saskatchewan, 170 km west of Moose Jaw and 218 km east of Medicine Hat. It began as a wheat town on the CPR line in 1883. The town has a small museum, an art gallery and a summer kite festival; the real draw is its position between the Cypress Hills and Grasslands National Park. Most travellers sleep one night and drive on.
