Suqian
Spend 1–2 days in Suqian: explore the Grand Canal heritage, Lakeside Park and Suqian Museum; one night of accommodation is enough.
Suqian, a city of about 5 million in northern Jiangsu, sits on the historic Grand Canal and hosts two large lakes (Luoma and Hongze). Its main attractions – the canal‑related heritage sites, lakeside parks and the Suqian Museum – can be seen in a half‑day each, so a short stay of one to two days works well. Good transport links by high‑speed rail from Nanjing make it an easy side‑trip.
