Sukumo
宿毛
Skip unless you have a specific reason: the castle ruins are sparse and the town is a 2-hour bus ride from Kochi City. Half a day is enough if you are passing through to Cape Ashizuri or Shimanto City.
Sukumo is a quiet coastal town in southwestern Kochi Prefecture, best known for its ruined castle site and as a transit point on the way to Cape Ashizuri or the Shimanto River. Most travellers pass through in under a day; there is no reason to stay overnight unless you are cycling the Shimanami-style route or visiting the nearby islands.
