Get around
A car is the default: WIS 42 runs south to Manitowoc and north through the bayshore villages, WIS 57 links Green Bay to Sturgeon Bay as an expressway. Downtown itself is compact and flat, with sidewalks on both sides of most streets, so park once and walk the 3rd Avenue and Madison Avenue districts. The Ice Age Trail follows Madison Avenue and the bay walkway at Bay View Park and continues south toward Algoma. No useful local bus network for visitors — check the city site if you are car-free.
