It grew as a railway junction and now trades on that past: a railway museum in the old Michigan Central shops, a restored 1873 station, and the Jumbo the Elephant monument. Sights sit close together downtown and are done in half a day; most travellers sleep in London or push on to Port Stanley on Lake Erie.
