Spiritwood
One night is enough for the town; base here 2–3 nights only if you fish, golf or hunt the 35 lakes within an hour's drive.
Spiritwood is a small farming town of about 900 people in northern Saskatchewan, 125 km west of Prince Albert at the junction of Highways 3, 24 and 376. It is the supply and service hub for a wide trading area of farms and First Nation reserves, and the reason to stop is the country around it: six golf courses, six regional parks and 35 lakes inside a 60-minute drive. The town itself is a museum, a golf course, a few cafés and two places to sleep. There is no bus service, so you need a car.
