The South Pacific splits into two trips. The Costanera Sur coast (Dominical, Uvita, Ojochal) is a beach-and-waterfall base 3–4 hours from San José on paved road. The Osa Peninsula (Puerto Jiménez, Drake Bay, Cabo Matapalo) is a separate rainforest trip reached by a 5-hour drive, a 40-minute flight or a boat from Sierpe. Pick one; combining both eats a day in transit each way.
