Get around
A car is effectively required: sights, marinas and campgrounds are 7–21 mi outside town and US 27 is the only road linking Somerset and Burnside. Use the KY 914 bypass to skip US 27 congestion between the north and south sides. A small local taxi service exists but is not a practical way to reach the lake.
