Sokobanja
Сокобања
Half a day to see the fortress and lake, or a weekend to soak in the spa and hike Ozren. Best as a stop between Niš and the Danube.
Sokobanja is a historic spa town in eastern Serbia, known for its thermal springs, the medieval Sokograd fortress and Lake Bovan. It's a low-key alternative to busier resorts, with easy bus links from Niš and Belgrade. Most visitors come for a short spa break or a day trip from Niš.
