region
Singapore Island
Sleep once, near an MRT line; use four areas as half-days and treat Sentosa and the nature reserves as an extra day, not a bed change.
Rules in force · 3
- Singapore ↗Foreign visitors fill in the SG Arrival Card online on the official ICA site within 3 days before arrival; it is free.
- Singapore ↗Vapes and e-cigarettes are illegal to bring in, buy or use; fines and prosecution apply. Leave them at home.
- Singapore ↗No eating or drinking on the MRT, and no durian on public transport or in most hotels; fines apply.
The island is small enough that the bed hardly matters for distance, but it matters for the first and last night: a 24-hour front desk near an MRT station makes a late flight easy. Outdoor sights go in the morning; malls, museums and hawker centres cover the middle of the day.
Where to sleep
Kampong Glam for Bugis and the east side, Chinatown for the south; MRT to the rest.
Beaches and theme parks; 30 min from the centre.
Village island for cycling; bumboat from Changi Point.
Night sequences
- 3 nights
- Singapore 3 (Marina Bay, Chinatown, Kampong Glam + Little India)
- 4 nights
- Singapore 4, one half-day on Sentosa or Pulau Ubin
- Do not plan Sentosa, Marina Bay and Chinatown on one day: each is a half-day with heat and queues.
Day-trips door to door

Bags between cities
Hotels hold bags; there is no luggage-forwarding culture, but a taxi to Changi is short enough to carry them.
