Sibsagar
শিৱসাগৰ
Spend 1–2 days in Sibsagar to see Ahom temples, burial mounds and the Joysagar tank; add a quick day‑trip to Jorhat or Dibrugarh.
Sibsagar (Sivasagar) was the Ahom capital and today offers a compact cluster of historic temples, royal burial sites and a large tank. Most attractions lie within a few kilometres of the town centre, so a full day covers the main temples and the Joysagar complex; a second day allows a visit to the nearby maidams or a day‑trip to Jorhat (55 km) or Dibrugarh (80 km).
