Shédiac
Go for 1–2 nights in July–August only: beach, lobster and the giant lobster statue. Off-season the town is quiet and many places shut.
Shédiac is a small Acadian seaside town 20 km east of Moncton, on the Northumberland Strait. It is a summer resort: Parlee Beach, warm shallow water, lobster, and a boardwalk-style strip on Main Street. Outside June–September it is a quiet residential town, so treat it as a warm-weather stop, not a year-round base. Most travellers come from Moncton for a day or sleep one or two nights near the beach.
