Seville is Andalusia's capital and Spain's fourth-largest city, with an old centre you can cross on foot in 30 minutes. The Alcázar, the cathedral and the Giralda carry the sightseeing; flamenco, tapas bars and the river carry the evenings. Most trips work at 3 nights, and the city is at its best in spring and autumn, not in the 40 °C-plus July and August.
