Go for one night only if you have a car: the Buddha triad, Haemi fortress and Cheonsuman bird bay are spread 20–40 km apart with thin buses.
Seosan is a west-coast county town in South Chungcheong with no train station and weak public transport, so it works as a car-based one-night stop between the Seoul area and the west coast. Its draw is a Baekje-era rock-carved Buddha triad, a Joseon flatland fortress at Haemi, and Cheonsuman Bay, one of Korea's main migratory-bird staging areas. Without a car, most of it is out of reach.
