Seekonk is a suburban retail strip on US Route 6, 15 minutes by car from Providence and about an hour from Boston. There is no walkable town centre: the draws are big-box stores, farm stands, diners, the Speedway and cheap motels. Come for a half-day of shopping and eating, or use it as a bed base for Providence and Rhode Island without paying Providence prices.

Get around
Car only. I-195 (exit 1) and US 6, US 44, MA 152 and Route 114A cross the town, and the retail parks sit on highways with poor sidewalks. RIPTA routes 32 and 34 run from Providence's Kennedy Plaza, and GATRA route 19 links Attleboro Transit Center; both are for getting in, not for getting around.
