Seabrook Island is a private, gated beach community on the South Carolina coast, about 45 minutes from Charleston. It has a 3-mile beach, marshes, wildlife and a golf/tennis club, but access is restricted to property owners, their guests and renters. Without a club membership (provided by the rental owner) you get only the beach and your villa's pool. Most visitors stay 3–5 days and combine it with day trips to Charleston.
