Saturn
Skip Saturn unless you want a cheap, noisy beach stay for 1–2 nights; walk to Mangalia for any sightseeing.
Saturn is a small communist-era resort on the Black Sea coast, 1 km north of Mangalia. It has two beaches, a few concrete hotels and loud nightlife. There are no attractions in town — all sights are in Mangalia. Use it only as a budget beach base for 1–2 nights.

- Churches: Cover shoulders and knees; women may cover their hair in monasteries; stand quietly at the back during services; avoid: Crossing in front of the altar area or photographing people praying
- Conversation: Food, football, travel in Romania and family are safe topics; avoid: Dracula as the country's identity, calling Romanians Slavs, and careless talk about Roma or Hungarians

- Queues and transport: Give seats to older people and parents with children; avoid: Loud phone calls in train compartments
Scams and watch-outs

- Loud music and discos until late at night; bring earplugs if you need quiet.
- Private accommodation at the entrance: negotiate the price and check the room first.
- Last trains from Mangalia to Constanța run around 22:00; check the schedule.
