Saschiz
Half a day is enough: visit the fortified church and hike to the peasant fortress ruins, then move on to Sighișoara or Viscri for the night.
Saschiz is a tiny Saxon village in Mureș County, a UNESCO World Heritage site for its 15th-century fortified church. The main draw is the church and a short hike to the ruined peasant fortress on the hill. Most travellers stop for 2–3 hours on the way between Sighișoara and Brașov.
