Sarnia sits at the south end of Lake Huron on the St. Clair River, across from Port Huron, Michigan. It is a small city with a walkable downtown, a big waterfront park, sandy beaches at the north end and a rail link to Toronto. Most travellers pass through on the way to or from the United States, or stop for a night on a southwestern Ontario loop. Two nights works if you want beach time and the Howard Watson Trail.
