Sanzhi
Spend a half‑day to a full day in Sanzhi for its coastal park, puppet museum and art village; stay elsewhere in New Taipei.
Sanzhi is a rural district north of Taipei with a handful of parks, a hand‑puppet museum and an artist village. It has no train station, so a car or bike is the easiest way to explore. One day covers the main sights; overnight accommodation is limited, so base in nearby New Taipei or Tamsui.
