Get around
A car is the easy way; US-101 and I-280 cross the city. Without one, Caltrain stops at San Mateo, Hayward Park and Hillsdale, and SamTrans buses cover El Camino Real. Downtown is flat and walkable between 2nd and 5th Avenues.
