Sallisaw is a small Sequoyah County seat on Interstate 40 in Green Country, about 30 minutes west of Fort Smith, Arkansas. Its draw is Cherokee history — Sequoyah's Cabin, where the Cherokee syllabary was created — plus Robert S. Kerr Lake and Tenkiller for water and fishing. Get around
