Sakakah
سكاكا
Half a day to see Marid Castle and the Rajajil columns, then move on to Tabuk or AlUla. Not a base.
Sakakah is the quiet capital of Al Jawf Province, 40 km from the nearest railway station and with a handful of archaeological sites that fill half a day. Most travellers pass through on the way to Tabuk, AlUla or the Neom coast. The city itself has basic services but no major attractions beyond the castle and the stone columns.

- Extreme summer heat: carry water and avoid midday outdoors.
- Limited dining and shopping; bring snacks if you have dietary restrictions.
Sakakah is very safe; the main risks are heatstroke in summer and the lack of emergency services outside the city. Drive carefully on the highway to Tabuk.
