- The railway station is 48 km northeast of the city; factor in a 45–60 min taxi ride.
- Friday Mosque minarets are visible from the main square; the mosque itself may be closed outside prayer times.
- Khosrogerd Minaret is 10 km west of the city; you need a taxi or private car.
- Credit cards are rarely accepted; carry enough Iranian rials (or tomans) in cash.
Sabzevar is generally safe for travellers. The main concerns are traffic on Road 44, heat in summer and the remote railway station. Keep cash and valuables out of sight in crowded bazaars.
