Saboba
Skip unless you are a Konkomba culture researcher or crossing into Togo: a half-day stop on the way to Yendi or Tamale.
Saboba is the administrative and cultural centre of the Konkomba people in the Volta Basin, right on the Togo border. The town has a lively market, the River Oti border crossing and a couple of guesthouses, but no major sights. Most travellers use it as a brief stop between Yendi (1 h) and Tamale (3 h) or to cross into Togo.
