Rudolstadt

Rudolstadt is a small Thuringian town with a Baroque castle, a compact old centre and a famous folk and world music festival. Most visitors pass through on a regional train between Jena and Saalfeld, spending a few hours at the castle and the theatre. The town is quiet outside the festival.
