Rot an der Rot
Skip unless you have a specific reason to visit the abbey church or want a quiet overnight in Upper Swabia: half a day is enough, and the village has no other major sights.
Rot an der Rot is a tiny village in Baden-Württemberg, best known for its baroque abbey church, St. Verena. The town has two restaurants, one hotel and a supermarket. Most travellers pass through on the way to Memmingen or the Allgäu. A stop of two to three hours covers the church and a walk around the abbey walls.
