Rosh Pina
ראש פינה
Half a day is enough to see the old quarter and a viewpoint; one night if you want a quiet dinner and a morning walk. Not a base for the Galilee.
Rosh Pina is a small town in Upper Galilee founded in 1882. Its old stone houses, a few cafés and the Nimrod Lookout take about three hours. Most visitors stop here on the way to Safed or the Golan Heights, or stay one night in a Zimmer (guest cottage).

Etiquette, safety and scams
Scams and watch-outs
- Rosh Pina Airport (RPN) has limited service; check if flights are running before you plan around it.
- Zimmers often require a two-night minimum on weekends and holidays.
- The Nimrod Lookout is a short walk but the path can be muddy after rain.
Rosh Pina is a quiet town with low crime. The main risks are driving on narrow mountain roads and the security situation in the wider region: check your government's travel advice before you go.
