Roßdorf
Skip Roßdorf unless you have a specific reason to visit: it's a quiet village with one historic building and a craft museum, best as a 1-hour stop on a drive through South Hesse.
Roßdorf is a small fruit-growing and wine village at the foot of an extinct volcano, 15 minutes south of Darmstadt. Its main draw is the 1575 half-timbered old city hall and the South Hessian handicraft museum in the former station. Most travellers will find more to do in nearby Darmstadt or Michelstadt.
