Get around
A car is the practical way to move between the hamlet, the wineries and the state parks; Route 25 runs east–west through the town and the Long Island Expressway ends at exit 73 near Calverton. The LIRR Ronkonkoma branch stops at Riverhead station, but from there you need a taxi, rideshare or bike to reach most sights. Parking is free at the outlets, the aquarium and the parks.
