Regina Beach
Go for one day or one summer weekend from Regina: 55 km, about 45 min by car. Outside June–August there is little open.
Regina Beach is a small lakeside resort town on the south end of Last Mountain Lake, inside the Qu'Appelle Valley and about 55 km northwest of Regina. It works as a summer day trip or a one-night weekend: a beach, a 9-hole golf course, a farmers' market and a handful of places to eat. The townsite is walkable; you need a car to get here and to reach the wider valley.

Etiquette, safety and scams
Etiquette
- Greeting: Handshake; 'Bonjour' first in Québec; avoid: Assuming everyone speaks English
- Queues: Line up and wait your turn; avoid: Pushing in
- Apologising: 'Sorry' is politeness, not admission of fault; avoid: Loud confrontation
- Canada vs US: Treat Canada as its own country; avoid: Calling Canadians American
- Indigenous culture: Buy from Indigenous-owned businesses and ask before photos at ceremonies; avoid: Wearing headdresses as costume
Scams and watch-outs
- Almost everything is seasonal: check opening dates before a shoulder-season trip.
- No public transport from Regina; without a car you cannot get here.
- Summer weekends fill the beach, campgrounds and rentals: book ahead.
- Lake swimming is at your own risk; there are no lifeguards posted as a certainty — check on site.
A quiet resort town; the real risks are the drive (deer at dusk on Highway 54), summer sun and cold water. 911 works everywhere.
