Rarang
Rarang is a 1-hour stop on the way to Nako or Kaza: see the monastery, then move on. Not a base.
Rarang is a small Buddhist village in Kinnaur district, about 25 km from Reckong Peo. Its main draw is the Rarang Monastery and the newer Tashi Choeling monastery just outside the village. Most travellers pass through on the way to Nako, Kaza or Kalpa. Half an hour to an hour is enough to see the monasteries.
