Rangsit
Spend 4–6 hours in Rangsit: visit the free National Memorial, shop at Future Park, then return to Bangkok.
Rangsit is a Bangkok exurb 20 km north, reachable by commuter train, bus or taxi. Its main draws are the National Memorial, Future Park shopping complex and Dream World amusement park, making a half‑day visit sufficient before heading back to the capital.

Use the SRT Red commuter line to Rangsit station (15 min from Bang Sue). Local buses 29, 34, 39, 59, 95, 504, 510, 522 run from Mo Chit (30–60 min). Taxis start at 300 THB; insist on the meter.

- Greeting: A wai (palms together, slight bow) to return a greeting; a smile and nod for shop staff; avoid: Waiing children or service staff first — it confuses; hugging strangers
