Rangat
Skip Rangat unless you need a ferry connection or a night before catching the morning boat to Havelock or Long Island. One night is enough.
Rangat is a transit town in the Andaman Islands, a stop for ferries and buses between Port Blair and the northern islands. The main beach was washed away by the 2004 tsunami; what remains is a functional settlement with a few basic eateries and guesthouses. Most travellers use it as a one-night layover.
