Exceptions and things that change the plan
>- Blossom timing is not fixed. Japan's first blooms usually open in late March in Tokyo and Kyoto, but the peak can fall in early April. If blossom is the reason for the trip, keep your dates flexible and check the forecast in the weeks before you fly.
>- Easter moves. In 2026 it falls in early April, so late March is the run-up: prices climb through the last week of the month in Europe and on long-haul routes.
