How to do it well
- 1From Dōtonbori, turn south down one of the narrow alleys near the Kani Dōraku crab or walk in from Sennichimae.
- 2Find the Mizukake Fudō statue, covered in moss from centuries of splashed water.
- 3Take the ladle, pour water over the statue, bow and make a wish; a candle or incense costs about ¥100 (check).
- 4Walk Hōzen-ji Yokochō, the two stone-paved lanes of small restaurants, then back to the neon.
