Fundy National Park is 207 km² of Acadian forest and cliff coast on Goose Bay, the northwestern arm of the Bay of Fundy, and the tides run the day: the sea floor at Alma is walkable near low water and under roughly 12 m of water about six hours later. Give it one full day for Dickson Falls, Point Wolfe and the low-tide flats; the park is reached only by car on Route 114, with Moncton about an hour away and Saint John about two. More than 25 waterfalls and over 100 km of trails sit inside the boundary, from a 1 km boardwalk to the multi-day Fundy Footpath toward St. Martins. Facilities and most services run June to September; winter is day use at your own risk.

- Stay on trails and boardwalks
- Bog vegetation and cliff-edge plants are fragile; the Caribou Plain boardwalk is not optional.
- Food storage
- Keep food in your vehicle or a locker, never in a tent; this is bear country.
- Fires
- Only in provided fire pits; check the fire danger rating at the gate.

Times are local to the spot (zone loading). The half-hour margin is our rule of thumb, not an official figure; light fades earlier in forest or under cloud. Carry a headlamp on any route that could run late.
Accessibility
- The visitor centre, campgrounds and some viewpoints are reachable by car with short, level walks.
- Dickson Falls and Caribou Plain use boardwalk and steps; check the gradient before committing.
- Third Vault Falls and the Fundy Footpath are rough and not suitable for limited mobility.
Visiting lightly
- Buy the day pass or Discovery Pass rather than parking outside the gate; the fee funds trail work.
- Pack out everything, including food scraps, from backcountry sites.
- Keep to the boardwalks over bog — the plants there do not recover from foot traffic.
- Use the park's water refill points instead of buying bottled water in Alma.

Can I walk on the sea floor?
Yes, near Alma at low tide. Check the tide table the same day, go out close to low water and keep a route back to high ground.
Is there public transport to the park?
No. You need a car; the nearest useful bases are Moncton (about 1 hour) and Saint John (about 2 hours).
