Opened in 1911 in a neo-Renaissance hall, it sells cheese, cured meats, bakery goods, honey, and spices, with a café upstairs.
It is covered end to end: a good rain plan.
Prices for foreigners are the same as for locals at most stalls; ask the price before you order.
A slice of banitsa (cheese pastry) and a cup of yoghurt or boza makes a euro-or-two breakfast.
